Randy Travis surprises, earns standing 'O' at CMA Fest 2016

Charlie Daniels surprised the CMA Music Festival with Randy Travis, who suffered a stroke in 2013.

Travis, a Country Music Hall of Famer, received a standing ovation but didn't address the crowd due to speech difficulties.

Daniels kicked off the concert with hits, expressing gratitude for performing for military personnel.

Daniels passionately recited the Pledge of Allegiance and played "In America" on an electric guitar.

The crowd enjoyed hits like "Drinking My Baby Goodbye" before Daniels closed with "The Devil Went Down to Georgia."

Thousands of fans poured into Nissan Stadium for the festival's nightly concerts.

The emotional embrace between Daniels and Travis marked a special moment in country music history.

Despite health challenges, Travis's appearance added a poignant touch to the event.
