Mini Confetti Cakes

You won't believe how easy it is to whip up these cute little cakes. To separate the layers of a sheet cake, use a little circular cutter.   

We used fresh whipped cream to create a lovely, velvety texture for the cake's outside instead of icing, which may be difficult to distribute uniformly on a little cake.  

Before serving, delicately push edible flowers or sprinkles into the cake's top and sides.  

One 13.25-oz package of vanilla cake mix, such Betty Crocker's Favorites Super Moist Vanilla Cake Mix would work.  

pink candy sprinkles (pink jimmies)—3 tablespoons Whipping Cream Made at Home Violos, tuberous begonias, English daisies, pansies, and other edible flowers  

The oven should be preheated to 350°F. Incorporate the pink candy sprinkles into the cake mixture while it is still in the preparation stage, as directed on the package.   

After greasing and flouring a 13 by 9-inch baking pan, pour mixture into it. After 28–33 minutes in the oven, remove the wooden pick from the middle.   

Let the cake cool for 10 minutes in the pan on a wire rack. Turn the cake upside down onto the rack and allow it cool for at least 45 minutes, or until it is ready to serve.
