Aaron Rodgers Puts Pressure on Jets to Re-Sign 2 Key Player

Aaron Rodgers hopes the New York Jets retain two crucial players this offseason.

Rodgers revealed who the secret sauce was last year during an interview on the "Keep Hammering Collective" and why they are so important to the squad.

"Last year, we had an amazing kicker and punter. Both are older men that I adore. Thomas Morstead was our punter, and he had an excellent season.

He's in his late thirties, but he takes excellent care of himself and was just a weapon for us. "With hangtime, with inside the 20 punts, with inside the 10 punts, they were like game-changing plays,

and he had multiple inside the five in multiple games," Rodgers said. "Our kicker, Greg Zuerlein, had a tremendous year.

I believe he missed only two kicks all year. He is only a weapon, and he may strike it from wherever. I mean, he struck it from 60, and every kick is a touchback for us.

Those are weapons, and I would definitely like to see those guys return."During his brief tenure with the Jets, A-Rod has been heavily criticized for being overly active in the roster construction process.

"Rodgers isn't the assistant GM," an AFC general manager told The Athletic. "Joe Douglas is the assistant GM."However, the most recent pitch will be positively appreciated by the fans.
